Custom Features

We will build new features into the Demeter Terrain Engine to fit your needs. For example, if your product requires Demeter to read elevation data from a file format it currently doesn’t support or requires Demeter to model fluids, etc., then we can add those features to Demeter for you. Depending on the scope of the feature being developed, this work is done on a fixed-fee or hourly basis. Hourly rates begin at $75.00 per hour.

Use this service option when you have needs specific to your application. For example, if you have a proprietary GPS device that must integrate with Demeter or a custom data format that Demeter must read, you would use this option. Contracts can be negotiated on a fixed-fee or hourly basis, with hourly rates beginning at $150.00 per hour. We will provide a weekly or daily delivery of the component so you can monitor progress.
Application Development

We perform two types of application development: the construction of a skeleton application or the construction of an entire application. A skeleton application integrates Demeter with your user interface and/or back-end data system. At that point you can turn the skeleton application over to your permanent development team to work on the actual business logic and features. Rates for this work begin at $200.00 per hour. Fixed-fee is neogtiable. Alternatively, The Demeter Consulting Group will create an entire application based on individual requirements and specifications. Rates depend on the scope of work.
Service Availability
Demeter is an Open Source technology, therefore the majority of your services are performed via the Internet. The result is excellent and effective work efficiency. The Internet also provides a superb documentation trail for Demeter and the customer. Demeter is available 24 hours per day via telephone and video conferencing as a resource for questions and ideas about your project while your contract is underway. A Demeter developer or engineer is available to visit your place of business as needed. Follow-up services and support for your completed project are included in all agreements between you and Demeter.
